2. The service
- WreAuthenticator is a mobile app that generates two-factor verification codes (TOTP, RFC 6238) locally on the user’s device. Code generation works without internet access.
- The base version is free and includes its security and data-ownership features, including local encrypted backup. Optional encrypted cloud backup may use iCloud on iOS or Google Drive on Android and requires internet access.
- Google Drive backup uses Google OAuth and the
drive.appdatascope to access only the app’s hidden application-data folder. - WreAuthenticator Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the features shown before purchase; it is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
- An optional companion extension for Chrome and Edge may also be offered.
3. Purchasing Pro
- Purchases are made only via the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), under those platforms’ terms.
- The price is always shown on the purchase screen in your local currency.
- The purchase is one-time and perpetual, tied to your Apple ID / Google account. To restore it on a new device, use “Restore purchases” in the app settings.
- Pro purchases are platform-specific. An App Store purchase does not unlock Pro on Android, and a Google Play purchase does not unlock Pro on iOS.
- For App Store purchases, request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play’s refund process or contact us at hello@wrecore.com; where available, we can issue refunds through Play Console. Refund requests are handled under the applicable store procedures and consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
4. User responsibilities
- The user is responsible for keeping a backup of their accounts, remembering the backup password, and retaining the recovery codes offered by the services where they enable two-factor authentication.
- Loss of the device without a backup, or loss of the backup password, results in irreversible loss of access to the secrets stored in the app — this follows from the encryption design and is not a defect of the service.
5. Provider responsibilities
- The app is provided “as is”. We take care to ensure it works correctly, including automated tests and RFC 6238 compliance.
- We are not responsible for third-party services where you use the codes or for the operation and availability of Apple or Google services, including iCloud, Google Drive, OAuth, App Store in-app purchases, and Google Play Billing.
- Liability toward consumers applies as provided by law. These terms do not exclude rights arising from mandatory consumer law.
6. Complaints
Send complaints to hello@wrecore.com. We respond within 14 days. Consumers may use available out-of-court complaint and redress procedures under applicable law.
7. Final provisions
- Polish law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protection in the consumer’s country.
- Changes to these terms are published at wreauthenticator.com/terms/ and do not apply retroactively to completed purchases.
